Fed: Work-home balance number one issue for managers

A new survey has found the number one issue for Australian and New Zealand managersis the balance between their work and home lives.

The survey -- conducted late last year by the Mt Eliza Business School -- shows thework-life balance has become the most important priority for senior managers.

More than 500 Australian and New Zealand managers were quizzed for the survey.

Mt Eliza Business School spokeswoman KAREN MORLEY says managers of all ages rated theissue as their top leadership challenge for the future.

Dr MORLEY says managers have been working longer hours and putting off tasks, suchas managing their own careers, for the sake of the organisation.

A survey conducted by the ACTU last year found workers were just as fed up with longworking hours as managers.
