QLD:Emergency crews work through fire rubble
Police and emergency crews are working through the rubble of a gutted house in Queensland,
searching for the remains of two families who died in a fire overnight.
Logan Police Superintendent NOEL POWERS says they don't know the sex or ages of the
victims, but 11 people of Pacific Islander heritage remain unaccounted for.
Neighbours earlier said five or six children had lived in the house.
Supt POWERS says some of the experts called to respond to the tragedy had helped in
the aftermath of the Bali bombings, and warned formal identification of the victims could
take some time.
